Shawn began his journey in recovery in 2004 and joined the Board of the Recovery Foundation in 2016. He has volunteered as a Mentor at Connections Counseling since 2007.
It was the fellowship of recovering people that pulled Shawn from the depths his own alcoholism. He feels it is vital to give back what was freely given to him- helping those who are struggling to find hope within themselves. What fuels Shawn’s drive to help others is to hear the stories of success- where hope returns to individuals, their families and the world around them.
Shawn’s leadership and the building of lasting relationships in the community are just some of the strengths he brings to the board to help continue grow awareness of Recovery Foundation’s mission.
